ABOUT THE ARTIST:
After spending forty years in the data processing community, Frank is now pursuing his passion for woodworking. Frank volunteers at the United Technologies Center in Bangor, and also teaches adult education classes at the Center. Students enrolled in his classes have the opportunity to make chairs, coffee tables, blanket chests and end tables.
As "Frank the Woodworker" - a title he has held here at the museum for the last six years - he produces a variety of woodworking projects for children to assemble and decorate. He has recently expanded his projects to include the Bangor Nursing Home and a school for special needs in Georgia.
