ABOUT THE ARTIST: 

Tom is an artist/designer who works with various subject matters and media, as well as from photography. He spent his formative years in Mathews, Virginia, in rural country near the Chesapeake Bay.  In 2000, he graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a BA in Studio Art.  At the university, he was influenced by the study and practice of "traditional" and "alternative" art forms, multimedia, and natural elements.

Tom's work has appeared at the Eastport Gallery, the Bangor Ireland/Maine Print Exchange 2000, and locally in the Bangor area.

Tom continues working with photography and cultural roots as an influence for his paintings and digital photo montages.  He currently resides with his partner Bill and son Ross in Bradford, Maine, where he can observe nature and the trees.
